Formation & Professional Learning
Spiritus
The Spiritus Program is a unique faith formation program for education and other Church ministry leaders, equipping them for evangelisation in our contemporary context. Spiritus can be completed as a professional learning program or as units of study in ACU post graduate courses. Spiritus has its own fees/registration costs.
The Oceania Evangelisation Leaders Program
The Oceania Evangelisation Leaders Program brings together Catholic youth ministers, educators and Church leaders to experience Easter/Pentecost and be renewed as missionary disciples leading evangelisation initiatives in the Oceania region. Leaders are invited to consider and explore opportunities for inter-cultural mission as members of teams conducting Youth Ministry Equipping Schools and other evangelisation programs in Fiji, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Samoa. It is conducted in collaboration with CHARIS and NET Ministries. This program has its own fees/registration costs.
The Forming Leaders Series Programs
These programs seek to renew, form and equip leaders, and aspiring leaders, as missionary evangelisers. They can vary in mode, location and duration.
Porta Fidei
Porta Fidei is a retreat experience for teachers consisting of testimonies, reflection and conversation in small groups, Eucharist and Reconciliation.
Called
At the heart of Called is the desire to increase participants’ understanding of discipleship. It provides videos of personal testimonies on six topics, and a range of discussion starters that guide personal reflection and small group activities.
Essentials
Essentials for Faith Leadership provides video presentations by leading Catholic leaders on ‘Evangelisation’, ‘Leading with Balance’, ‘Discernment’, ‘Humility’, ‘The First Proclamation’ and ‘Youth as Leaders in Evangelisation’. It offers a range of discussion starters that guide personal reflection and small group activities.
GROW Workshops
GROW CSYMI Workshops are led by experienced school and school system leaders supporting schools implementing the CSYMI vision and model across all three Focus Areas. GROW in Faith Workshops help unlock the treasures of the Catholic spiritual tradition. In 2022, we explored how to pray the Scriptures using Lectio Divina and Ignatian Contemplation. We also had sessions on praying one’s life praying the Ignatian Examen and Prayer of Contraries.
Online short courses and videos
There are short online courses on CSYMI and the CLFN. There are also collections of Zoom recordings of Masterclasses, GROW CSYMI and GROW in FAITH Workshops.
Regular formation orientated seminars for Leaders of Evangelisation
Certified Leaders of Evangelisation participate in a formation seminar held once each term for an hour with other leaders for prayer and formation, to share their life and faith, and to encourage and support one another. Different days and times are offered to ensure these Leaders can join in one meeting each Term.
Networking
The CLFN online (clfn.org) provides networking tools to learn from and collaborate with other members in similar roles, ministries and regions.
