Certification and Accreditation

Certification as a CSYMI Educator

A retreat or formation experience within the past three years (e.g., Porta Fidei, Called, Essentials for Faith Leadership or a parish, diocesan or centre retreat)

Certification will be granted to those educators in schools who have implemented CSYMI and participated in past CLFN professional learning and formation. Certified CSYMI Educators are expected to be active members of the CLFN.

CLFN members applying for certification as a CSYMI Educator must have completed

A Youth Ministry Equipping School (YMES) or the short online training course, ‘An Introduction to CSYMI’

Certification as a Leader of Evangelisation

All CLFN members can apply for certification as a Leader of Evangelisation (LOE) in their own ministry context. LOEs have undertaken significant faith formation and leadership development in evangelisation, including the skills and understanding to apply this practically in Catholic schools and/or Church contexts.

Leaders of Evangelisation are committed to their own formation as Church leaders within schools, parishes, dioceses, movements, organisations and agencies. They meet regularly online with other Leaders of Evangelisation for prayer, to share their life and faith, and to encourage and support one another.

Leaders of Evangelisation exercise leadership within their own ministry contexts as they ‘step up’ to lead and facilitate the formation of colleagues and those they serve (e.g. CSYMI, diocesan ministries, etc). The CLFN equips members with resources to lead evangelisation initiatives in their ministry context.

Leaders of Evangelisation can conduct any of the Forming Leaders Series with their own staff.

To be certified as a Leader of Evangelisation, CLFN members should have completed:

The ACU Spiritus Program or a Youth Ministry Equipping School (YMES) or an equivalent program with a clear focus on evangelisation, spiritual growth and formation for mission in a specific pastoral context such as Catholic schools, youth ministry in a parish or diocese.

A short online training course, ‘Introduction to Leadership in the CLFN’

A retreat or formation experience within the past three years (e.g. Porta Fidei, Called, Essentials for Faith Leadership or a parish, diocesan or spirituality centre retreat)
